Some Standard Meals

Today’s Cooking & Eating Adventure

I haven’t been in the mood to try new recipes lately, so the pictures to the right show some of the standard meals I make regularly. And a picture of one of our herb gardens.

Pizza – Cornmeal crust topped with mushrooms, sliced tomatoes, olives, spices, and cheese. Hearty and very satisfying, it pairs perfectly with a salad.

Potato and Green Beans – English baked potato, steamed green beans, olive oil, nutritional yeast, and thyme. What’s great about this dish is its versatility. The base is the baked potato, and you can add any veggies and spices you like. The avocado adds a creamy texture.

Ramen Soup – Sauté shallots, garlic, tofu, shiitake mushrooms, and steamed green beans (placed at the bottom of the bowl) in your favorite oil. Add veggie broth, Bragg’s Liquid Aminos, coconut milk, Mekhala Organic Thai Basil Garlic Paste, and sesame oil for a flavorful, comforting soup. The avocado added a rich, velvety texture.

Many of Mekhala’s pastes are spicy hot, but this one is mild.
